The village's hub for research for what is smart and sustainable

Smart Villages Hub

Veberöd is a test village for developing sustainability in a village. Researchers and companies are already working on how Veberöd can be developed and what measures are required. Together, a common platform for research and development is created around what is smart and sustainable.

Cooperation and transparency provide sustainability for all.

Research

Together with college/university, research and education are conducted both directly in the village and virtually. What does the village school of the future look like?

Projects

Connected waterhoars, smart trees that tell you when they are thirsty, drone deliveries, 3D printing locally, water, 3D model of the village that can communicate, smart lampposts... many projects made and more will...

Fablab

On site in Veberöd, construction of a local FabLab is now underway. A place with all possible machines for prototype manufacturing.

Our partners

Developing the countryside and seeing what smart villages really are and can be is not something you do alone. This is only done through commitment and the right partners! We want to make Veberöd a village where the latest technology can be used and where people come first. A village that already has great commitment and which we hope can be a village that can be a model for rural development throughout Sweden.

Council

Strength is created through open collaborations. In our council there are people who, with expertise and creativity, help

smart villages to become a research village for what is smart and sustainable.
